Connecting Devices

If there are any wearable devices or health applications that need to be connected for your study, you will be prompted to connect them during the onboarding process. Please follow the below steps to connect your device and/or health application.

  1. Tap CONNECT on the device you would like to connect to your study app.
  2. Log in to your account using your device app credentials or create a new account. This will connect your device's account with the study app.
  3. Check off each of the categories (summaries, workouts, measurements, nutrition, and sleep) to allow the data to be shared with the study. 
  4. Repeat steps one and two if you have more devices to connect until you have connected each required device.

Connecting a device allows the study app to pull any data found in your device's account into the study database. Please note you must sync the data from each connected device into the device's account on a regular basis in order for the data to be available in the study for your research team. 

If you have already completed the on-boarding process for your study app and need to connect, disconnect, or update a sensor, navigate to the profile tab and select View/Update Connected Devices.
